History & Policy is a joint initiative supported by the Faculty of History, University of Cambridge and the Institute of Contemporary British History, University of London. Contemporary policy debate focuses on the short-term. As historians we believe that policy-making can gain from longer-term thinking, drawing upon the work of historians who work on policy issues over long time periods.
