Since its’ founding in 1982, Abington Partners has become a leading UK company providing Datalogging hardware and software for science education. Abington Partners first revolutionised the education market by introducing Datastore software on BBC computers that helped launch the concept of datalogging as a teaching tool for schools. Since that time Datadisc software has been developed into a professional data analysis and datalogging tool, covering all areas of science education from early years through to higher education. The latest product advancements in Datadisc Pt has seen an increase in benefits such as auto plug and play connectivity, easy to use calibration facility, temperature compensation to name but a few. Our Logbook range of dataloggers and sensors compliment both Datadisc software and the Philip Harris datalogger range and sensor systems.
Today, Sciencescope is a diversified company that provides science equipment and resources for education. Moving into the future, Sciencescope continues to move with the advancements of technology, and is the first UK Company to launch a “wireless datalogger”. The ‘ScienceScope Logbook WL', utilises the latest Bluetooth technology, this ground breaking four channel meter logger, takes away the requirement for either a USB or serial connection between the logger and the PC/laptop allowing wireless connectivity throughout the laboratory.
Finding investigations that work and how best they can be achieved has always been difficult. Videologging is way of capturing a 2 dimensional tracking of moving objects, whether these are very slow or exceptionally fast. Also New for 2005 is the ‘ScienceScope Electronic Resource Book’ that is an interactive PC based investigations system. The investigations are fully described using labelled pictures; video sequences and an automatic interface to Datadisc to set up the recording and load previously recorded data.
