Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy |
| Description: |
Broadband dielectric spectroscopy is the instrumentation and methods of exploration of the complete electromagnetic absorption spectrum of a substance, predominantly, in natural condensed state (involving a synthesis and analysis on a PC). Thus the dielectric properties of a medium, absorption and dispersion, the electric conductivity, the energy loss are investigated as a function of frequency. Originally the Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy covered the frequency band up to 10^12 Hz, but at present time it is a feasible to observe the all frequency range of electromagnetic spectrum, involving industrial frequencies, radioengineering spectrum, microwave band, submillimetric, infrared, visible and ultraviolet sites of the optical range, up to gamma-range (0 – 10^23 Hz). There are the characteristic spectra and the frequency representation of the inherent structure of a substance ("the frequency developed views") over its spectral properties in a wide band of frequencies. |
