The European Space Camp is a week long experience held on the island of Andøya in Northern Norway, at the Andøya Rocket Range.
Students partake in a variety of activities including building and successfully launching an atmospheric sounding rocket and exploring other scientific facilities on the Island. Students are also involved in lectures from some of Europe's top space scientists, and for some relaxation there is also some swimming in the arctic waters and whale watching.
In 2007 there were 26 students from 11 countries, all of whom had studied Physics and Mathematics at a higher level, and were in their final year of high school or their first year of university and had a passion for the Natural Sciences, specifically Space Sciences.
