International Journal of Research in Fisheries and Aquaculture is an international research journal, which publishes top-level work from all areas of fisheries and aquatic sciences. Areas and subareas of interest include (but are not limited to) biology and ecology of marine and freshwater organisms, pathology and genetics of cultured fish, crustaceans, molluscs and plants, especially new species, limnology, oceanography, physiology, toxicology, economics, disease, and management, breeding and selection in fish farming, nutritional and dietary requirements in aquaculture, environmental conditions affecting the growth of farmed fish, effects of fish farming on the aquatic environment. Journal publishes original research articles, short communications/notes and reviews within the whole field of fisheries and aquaculture sciences, and it will continue to provide information on the latest trends and developments in this ever-expanding subject
