	WebMed's self-screening tool allows patients in a relatively short period of time to identify the likely causes of their symptoms. The web-based program is revolutionary in that it approaches self-screening from the patient's point of view! Of the approximately 2 million sites that provide "medical diagnosis," virtually all of them, including hospital websites, require the patient to know what their diagnosis is before they can research the implications of the disease/condition and the alternative treatment options. Physicians know that this approach is backwards. They always begin their evaluations of a patient by asking about the patient's symptoms, not by asking the patient what disease they have.
