Founded in 1923, the San Francisco Aquarium Society is one of the nation's most esteemed aquarium hobbyist organizations. Incorporated in 1948 as a non-profit by the State of California, it operates for the express purpose of promoting the hobby through education and comraderie while spilling as little water as possible.
