The Department of Mathematics organizes the 'National Conference on Frontiers in Analysis and Differential Equations (NCFADE)' on the occasion of 60th Birth Anniversary of Prof. N. Ramanujam during December 19-20, 2012. The conference focuses on Analysis, Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems and Numerical Analysis. The Department of Mathematics started functioning in 1963 in the erstwhile Post-Graduate Centre of University of Madras. The Department presently offers courses in M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. prgorammes. In the past 10 years, the Department has made a steady progress and regularly organizing various academic activities.
