The Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition, at the University of Minnesota, supports a number of coordinated programs of research, training, development, and dissemination of information related to second language teaching, learning and assessment. The center has been designated as one of nine National Language Resource Centers, whose role is to improve the nation's capacity to teach and learn foreign languages effectively.
