The American College of Medical Toxicology is a professional, nonprofit association of physicians (medical doctors) with expertise in medical, occupational, environmental and clinical toxicology dedicated to advancing their science and clinical practice. Medical Toxicology is a medical subspecialty focusing on the diagnosis, management and prevention of poisoning, toxicity and other adverse health effects due to medications, substances of abuse, chemical, occupational and environmental exposures or toxins, and biological, terrorism and warfare agents. The Internet Journal of Medical Toxicology (IJMT) is a free on-line journal, which publishes editorials, clinical case conferences, news and other items that deal with important, difficult, or controversial topics in Medical Toxicology.
