Physics at Hockaday is taught by Richard Taylor and Pete Lohstreter. We offer B and C Advanced Placement Physics, Mathematical Physics, Physics, Multimedia Engineering, and Poetry of Light. Each course is lab based and relies primarily on discovery, hands-on inquiry centered investigations involving computers, graphing calculators, CBLs, and other high-tech strategies, as well as string and sticky tape techniques. Amusement park physics, playground physics, and other non-traditional methods are employed, as well.
