OA develops, and brings to implementation, the ocean modelling systems required to meet Met Office customer needs. In addition to operational oceanography, support for climate research and seasonal forecasting is supplied, specifically in providing the ocean component of the Hadley Centre's coupled ocean-atmosphere models.
